More music that’s so obscure it doesn’t have any artwork! Isodora Crane is a weird band to say the least. Based in Southern California (think San Diego scene, The Locust, Swing Kids, Antioch Arrow, etc), they started out as an in your face, overpowering, Emo-Violence band, and were pretty good at it. Soon thereafter they broke up like true Hardcore, but then got back together as an indie band. You can hear their new sound at the MySpace link to see for yourself. For their older stuff, all I have, and know of for that matter is the following album.

Hey Scott thanks for swinging by here! It’s not too bad, although baffling how you guys could turn a 180 like that musically.

I stumbled upon this while randomly searching the net. Its rad you posted this for future kids to hear. I (Justin Scoltock, drums) started Isodora Crane with the help of Blake Milliken (guitar) and Jason Cyra (bass). We were based out of Corona/Chino, CA. We later gained Nick Kalergis (vocals) and Justin Smith (guitar). There is little known about us as a band because we only played like five shows and each one was received poorly. Our demo was recorded with Beau Burchell of Saosin (which lead to other Saosin members taking over the name/band after our demise). We played what we wanted the best we knew how and any new incarnation has no relation or resemblance to the original band. We all went on later to play in bands such as Graf Orlock, Ghostlimb, Jesus Makes the Shotgun Sound, Dangers, First To Leave, etc. Glad people still like this and to have the ability to clear some things up.

Poorly? Your project produced such great music and to this day one of my favorite ep’s. Both old and new. I know there was another album in the works…did you guys have anything to do with it? Is it even still going heh? Its great to get some info on the group though, this is the most recent of anything ive seen/read…All n all, Thanks.

We actually played more like 12 shows and our last show consisted of me getting called a faggot by a girl i had bought a drink for earlier, stripping myself naked, and jerking my dick around to keep security from approaching me which they eventually did and threw me out in the rain. for the record, the impossibility of a static universe (our EP) does have artwork although it is VERY hard to find. we made cds ourselves that were spraypainted on and notorious for ruining peoples car cd players. Also the newer indie incarnation did have alot to do with the old incarnation being that it was made up of myself (Nick), Scott (who was the final one of our bass players in the screamo outfit) and Blake (one of the founding members). Thanks to anyone who still even cares. We sure had alot of fun and if i didnt have the band to allow me to scream my ass off every couple days id probably be dead by now. <3
