I feel as though I’ve grown up with Pygmy Lush. They largely formed out of the ashes of Pg. 99, as many of you know. As a younger teenager I grew up listening to Pg.99, able to equate their raw anger to my bottomless well of teenage angst. Then Pygmy Lush came through with their rough Folk music that I started to listen to more and more as I settled down. Pygmy Lush has really refined their Folk sound in their latest LP. It’s absolutely beautiful.
